Introduction to IBM Events Streams (Kafka) with Cloud Pak for Integration
IBM Event Streams is is a high-throughput message bus, a fully managed service built with the open source Apache Kafka project. It is available as part of the Cloud Pak for Integration. Event Streams is optimized for event ingestion into event stream distribution between your services and applications. Event Streams supports all of the Kafka APIs including Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect. It leverages the availability zone support from the Kubernetes Service to ensure that in an unlikely event of an entire zone being unavailable, your applications will continue to work uninterrupted.

Prerequisites for attendees:
- understanding of web application programming concepts and associated knowledge prevalent in the IT industry
- you will use your laptops to view demos and perform exercises
